Charitable Contributions to Pets in Need

The Friends of Lucy Fund was inspired by one of our very special patients, Lucy — a rescue dog whose story of hope, healing, and second chances touched the hearts of everyone at Moores Mill Animal Hospital. Lucy’s journey inspired us to create a charitable fund dedicated to helping local pets and families facing financial hardship during veterinary emergencies.

At Moores Mill Animal Hospital, we believe every pet deserves access to quality veterinary care, regardless of financial circumstances. Through the Friends of Lucy Fund, we are able to provide financial assistance for pets in need throughout the Lee County community. Just like Lucy was given a second chance at a happy, healthy life, this fund helps extend compassion, care, and support to other beloved pets and their owners when they need it most.

The Friends of Lucy Fund is established through the Veterinary Care Foundation, a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, making every donation fully tax deductible. Even more importantly, 100% of all contributions go directly toward helping local veterinary patients experiencing financial hardship in emergency situations.

There are several convenient ways to support the Friends of Lucy Fund. Donations can be made through the online payment portal, by mailing a check directly to the Veterinary Care Foundation, or by bringing your contribution to Moores Mill Animal Hospital so our team can submit it on your behalf.

Moores Mill Animal Hospital, Lucy, and the families helped by this program are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our donors and community supporters who make this mission possible.
